"Governing Body Procedure," a secret rulebook
by john.prestor inin crisis of conscience, raymond franz reproduces a letter sent to him from someone representing the governing body in which they thank him for returning the text, governing body procedure.
franz says nothing about this text any other place in the work, but i've been trying to track it down, because it sounds like another confidential manual like shepherd the flock of god.
i doubt it's been leaked (i'm shocked, pleasantly, that we even have circuit overseer guidelines, the confidential manual used by circuit overseers) but you never know.. is anyone else familiar with this work?

Venting, Wow, found out just how indoctrinated my wife is

she said everything they teach is 100% true and any mistakes are cleaned up and corrected, that the payouts for the child abuse is not an issue even if its taken from donations.
because, she believe 100% the org knows what its doing.

I was once convinced like that too. I had the idea in my mind that the Bible is infallible, because it said so. So in the end when I found out it was not, it was all clear to me. One failed prophecy, one contradiction, one time Jehovah did not follow his own principles and the book proves to be just an ordinary one.
And the same with the org.
So if she is that convinced, she might just need a little spark of light one day.

The article mentions an interesting letter from Russel to the barons Rothschild and Hirsch. It was published in the 1891 Watchtower and proposed that they would buy government land in Palestine to allow the Jews to return to "their" land.

How about having a special undercover mode so PIMOs can browse the site with greater security?
by Island Man inwhen you visit the site it says jehovahs-witness big and bold.
a pimo might be browsing the site and a jw might come up behind him unexpectedly and notice he's visiting a site about jws other than jw.org, which can lead to the pimo reported for viewing apostate information.. to help remedy this risk, i was thinking about the possibility of having a button that activates an undercover mode where the title of the site is not prominently displayed so it's not easily apparent to an accidental eavesdropper that it's an apostate website.
also, the color-scheme and graphics can be different so that it doesn't look like the regular site.

Well, I am in that situation too. I would be happy to have such a provision. Maybe an extra url. And a less obvious look. My life would change more than I like in case my wife finds out about this site.

Well, I see the same problem in JW's. They are all about love and caring for the children. However they believe in a book that justifies the killing of millions, including little (unborn) children (Read for example Numbers chapter 31)
